Our Programs

Mental Health Ombudsman
MHA is an intake site for the Indiana Mental Health Ombudsman Program. As a Mental Health Ombudsman, MHA:

  • Mediates or advocates for persons seeking mental health services in four different areas:
  • Affordability
  • Accessibility
  • Appropriateness of care
  • Rights Violations

Public Policy and Advocacy
This program addresses legislative issues and advocacy to benefit the mentally ill. During odd numbered years the Mental Health Alliance in Indiana sponsors a Legislative Rally on mental health issues in Indianapolis at the Capitol.

Education and Referral
MHA offers educational information to the community through various mediums with emphasis placed first on local issues, then state and finally national focus. We are continually updating our reference materials to provide you the latest information.
