Agency Mission
Our mission is to promote awareness, acceptance, and treatment in the prevention of mental illness through advocacy, education, support, and delivery of the most effective and appropriate services to all persons affected by mental health issues.

Key Programs
Mental Health Ombudsman
The Ombudsman

Additional Support Groups
TLC--Together We Learn to Cope TLC is a support, education, and advocacy group for families and friends of persons with mental illness. Meetings are held monthly offering a combination of lending a listening ear and information/educational presentations on mental health topics. The group also maintains a legislative telephone tree during the Indiana Legislative Session.

Schizophrenics Anonymous (S.A.)
Aligned with the National Schizophrenia Foundation, SA is a confidential support group for persons with schizophrenia or schizophrenia-related symptoms. Meetings are held twice each month.

Bi-Polar Support Group Confidential support group for persons with Bi-Polar related issues. Meetings are held twice each month.

Depression Support Group
In conjunction with Shalom Community Center we provide a meeting ground for at risk individuals. Meetings are held twice each month.

Jail Diversion We are currently researching and developing a support network for services to this sector of the community.  If you would like to volunteer suggestions or support, please contact us.

Information and Referral
Mental Health Alliance distributes general information on mental illness to the community in a variety of ways: community fairs, newsletters, public forums, Speakers Bureau, and via the Directory of Mental Health Services in Monroe County, which lists mental health professionals in the community and their specialties. The focus of these educational efforts often changes to reflect pressing mental health issues.
